Get Rid of that Common Cold with Water Only

Learn How You Can Get Rid of that Common Cold Using Only Water

1. Adequate water consumption is most important. How do you know if your intake is adequate or not? One clue can be your urination. You need more water if your urine is too yellowish, less in quantity or infrequent. Keep in mind all the time the rule of the 8 glass of water minimum.

2. During or right after an outing in the sun consume plenty of water. Always try to carry a bottle of water with you when you go out into the hot sun and remember to drink often, do not wait until your throat will beg you for water. If you forgot your bottle, have water immediately when you reach your destination and make sure you drink unchilled water. Cold water causes sore throat and so makes it easy to catch that common cold.

3. After an outing in cold, make sure you drink warm water. This will soothe your throat and help you avoid that cold, but do not drink very hot water.

4. If you already have a sore throat, you need to increase your water intake. If you feel any distress in your throat after speaking for too long or laughing too much, have warm water immediately. Drink it slow, sip by sip, and let your throat enjoy it fully.

If your sore throat is hanging on, continue drinking water more often. Throat problems are generally caused by inappropriate water intake, so make sure you drink more. Do not be afraid of drinking too much; it can never be too much.

5. As much as possible, try to avoid going out in extreme weather conditions, such as hot sun or raining/snowing when your clothing is not appropriate. Keeping your AC at a reasonable temperature will also help you to stay healthy.

6. Try to avoid extreme environmental conditions such as exceeding dust or pollution, and if absolutely necessary, do not expose yourself for too long. As you might know, a sore throat (due to these conditions) is just a step away from that cold.

So can water be the "new" medicine for common cold? Because our body is made up of more than 70% water, it may not be surprising news that lack of water will cause sickness. Try it; after all you have nothing to loose.
