Huggies Versus Top Care Pampers Diapers

When it comes to diapering your baby there are a number of brands available to choose from. Although I have used the P&C store brand Top Care pampers on all of my kids, I decided to recently give Huggies a try on my newborn. Following is a product comparison on the two brands and
which one I prefer to continue using in the future.

Huggies are a very popular brand of pampers that parents often choose for their babies. After using this brand for a month I have found both good and bad things about it. One of the good things about Huggies is the convenient umbilical cord cutout for newborns, which made it easier to take care of my son's cord the first two weeks after he was born. I also liked the different character designs that these pampers come in, my favorite being Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. There were few drawbacks to using Huggies, but what little drawbacks there were had a significant impact on my overall impression of the brand. The price for this brand is a little more expensive than the Top Care brand, costing about $10 for a pack of 40 diapers. I also found that my son would break out in a rash when I used this brand, which means that I had to spend extra money stocking up on rash cream. All in all I would have to give Huggies brand pampers a score of 3 out of 5.

Everyone has the own opinion. I personally love HUGGIES, they are the best. Maybe your babies broke out with rash because you didnt change them frequently enough. How long did you leave them in those diapers. We have 3 children and none of my children have ever had a diaper rash from Huggies. HUGGIES IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, it isn't a good comparison. A generic pamper versus a brand name. You change more pampers with the generic brand because you don't want to soil your childs clothes. How about their bottom being wet? Why not try another brand name and then you really would be saving money in the end by changing the child less. Or like someone else said. GO CLOTH.

Haha.. whoever wrote this article is an idiot. "Huggies brand pampers"???? Pampers are a different kind of diaper. Pampers is not a general word for diaper, nimrod. Stupid people f***ing annoy me.

Great comparison. I did one a while back on Huggies Vs. Pampers. I prefer Pampers Baby Dry. I'm just glad I'm done with diapers for my own children. I babysit sometimes, so I do use them on other kids, but at least I'm not paying for them all the time anymore. LOL :-)

One aspect to think about - if you go through Top Care diapers faster than Huggies, is that really a price savings in the end? Try cloth -- in the long run cheaper and NO petro-chemical super absorbents to irritate ANY baby's skin! On the up side, maybe the Top Care has a less powerful chemical, or less of it, since you find them less absorbent! I have an article about my favorite cloth diapers here on AC that you can find at my CP page.....
