Renton, WA's Best Spot is the Spot Sports Bar and Grill

Humbly named "The Spot", this Renton sports bar and grill is all the best parts of Red Robin for grown-ups, with the atmosphere of Cheers, and the amenities to enjoy sporting events with a crowd of your friends.

When we tell friends we are going to The Spot (a frequent occurrence) this usually leads to a rousing game of "Who's on First?" along the lines of "Great, where are you going?" But Renton's The Spot Sports Bar and Grill is the best choice for everything from Date Night (located across the street from Regal Cinemas East 13) to a night out with the guys. A recent remodel has left them slightly cleaned-up, and more polished, but still the same wonderful Spot. Appetizers and food are very reasonably priced, tasty, and more than ample. A half-size order of nachos appetizer feeds two of us so completely that we don't need to order a meal. Last night my husband got a complete prime rib dinner, which he couldn't finish, for $11. And it was delicious! Fortunately, they also offer food to-go, so that I can take a sandwich home and make several meals out of it.

From any seat in the restaurant, you can see at least 7 large flat-screens, which are usually showing 3 or 4 programs between them. If you are planning on going for a major sporting event, get there early! We went for the Seahawks vs. Dallas playoff game and found The Spot so full of sports fans that it was standing room only at least an hour before the event. If you can't go to the actual game, this is the next best thing.

In case televised sports are not enough, and you want to try your hand, you can play pool, electronic darts, or test yourself with the Knock Out punching bag that measures and reports the strength of your punch. A few more drinks may not improve your skills, but will undoubtedly improve your estimation of them. Some arcade games, pinball games, and pull-tabs round out the games.
