During the summer, Greenville comes alive. There are many free activities offered.
Wednesdays from June through August, you can enjoy outdoor music concerts at the Peace Center Amphitheater from 7-9 pm. You are encouraged to bring picnic lunches, lawn chairs, and blankets. Each week is different - from jazz to patriotic. For more information, contact the City of Greenville Special Events, 864-467-6667.
Wednesdays in May and September, free outdoor movies are shown at the Peace Center Amphitheater. They start at dusk, so come a little early and get ready for a movie under the stars. Visit greatergreenville.com for a complete movie showing schedule.

For some modern musical entertainment, come out on Thursdays from mid-May through August for Rhythm on the River. Held in the Peace Center Amphitheater, the gates open at 5:30 pm, and the show begins at 7 pm. More information can be found at http://www.rhythmontheriver.com/
Another highlight for summers downtown is Main Street Jazz. Dance to the sound of jazz Fridays from 5:30 - 9:30 pm downtown Main Street at the Hyatt Regency hotel. An activity area for children is also available.
