Greenville, South Carolina - Totally Free Summer Activities

Greenville, South Carolina is a visitor friendly town. Come, exerience our downtown for yourself. You should never be bored during the summer! Along with tree-lined streets, dozens of tasty restaurants, and plenty of shopping, our town graciously offers free entertainment during the summer. One of our biggest attractions is Falls Park on the Reedy. This friendly park features multi-layered walking paths and beautifully unobtrusive landscaping. There are no fees to enter the park, and in fact, we have one parking garage downtown that offers free night and weekend parking for everyone. When walking through Falls Park, you will see people grilling out, splashing in the river, running, skateboarding, all having fun.

During the summer, Greenville comes alive. There are many free activities offered.

Wednesdays from June through August, you can enjoy outdoor music concerts at the Peace Center Amphitheater from 7-9 pm. You are encouraged to bring picnic lunches, lawn chairs, and blankets. For some modern musical entertainment, come out on Thursdays from mid-May through August for Rhythm on the River. Held in the Peace Center Amphitheater, the gates open at 5:30 pm, and the show begins at 7 pm. More information can be found at http://www.rhythmontheriver.com/

Another highlight for summers downtown is Main Street Jazz. Dance to the sound of jazz Fridays from 5:30 - 9:30 pm downtown Main Street at the Hyatt Regency hotel. An activity area for children is also available.
