Safe Trick or Treating in Provo
Provo City is always thinking about ways to make Provo a safer haven. In the past years we have enjoyed many activities dedicated for families with kids. One of those activities is Halloween safe trick or treating in Downtown Provo which is a good way to let parents feel at ease when it comes to letting their kids go trick or treating.
The activity starts early in the afternoon and all the stores in Provo Center Street and University Avenue participate by giving away candy to hundreds of kids from 1 to 3 in the afternoon depending on the year. It is always wise to check Provo Downtown web page to be sure about this times since it is something you really wont want to miss.
The safe part of this experience is not only the natural light but also safe candy. That means not having to check for weird looking candy that can be poisoned of unsafe for the kids to eat. Also there is the peace of mind of knowing that this was and organize activity under the look out of Provo City, so the kids are safe in the stores. It is much better than worrying about our kids going to random homes that are not necessarily occupied by the safest people, or cars that may not see them while crossing the streets.
Also it is so full of kids and their parents dressed in Halloween costumes that it becomes a fun parade where your kids can enjoy a cool Halloween show and see what they want to be next year.
There are other options for safe trick or treating in near by cities and the malls around the area. The only problem is that by experience I can tell you that Mall candy doesn't satisfy the high expectations of the small candy seekers, unless they are mostly smarties fans.
Downtown Provo offers a good variety of candy plus a little magic show and many restaurants giving away good deals in pizza or coupons for parents to use.
Next year enjoy Provo with all the other families and bring your kids to a safe activity where they will have fun filling their bags with candy and where you as a parent can be completely sure that there is nothing to worry about.
