Music is usually a true gift. However, there are times when it is more punishing than pleasurable. Considering the thousands of different songs, spanning countless years, it is usually possible to find something that can be tolerated. My musical taste is quite diverse, and I've found it possible to listen to Hank Williams, Metallica, Little Kim, and Mozart within a few minutes. Here is a list of suggestions, of songs to download and others to avoid. Enjoy!

Songs to Avoid

1.Celine Dion "My Heart Will Go On."

This is terrible, and the song makes me want to put a fork into my eye socket. Not only did I truly dislike the movie Titanic, this song was the candle on top of the cake. The lyrics are something that a youngster would write, and the singing is off-key. Leonardo Di Caprio may have been "on top of the world," but I was getting my toaster oven ready for bath time.

2.Trace Adkins "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk"
I love country music, and in this song, Mr.Adkins put a lot of pain to the industry. Usually he's a pretty good artist, but he wanted to get "cute" with a lot of today's bling style sayings. While that could be funny, as with some of the work Big and Rich have done, he fails miserably with this song. It's a joke, and I hope he will stick to traditional style of music instead.

3.Bee Gees "Tragedy"

The only tragedy is having to endure this song. Andy Gibb sounds like his nuts are stuck in a garbage disposal, and those high notes are enough to break double paned windows. I honestly have no idea how this song became so popular, but since I never got the pleasure of wearing polyester pants, I guess I just don't understand.

4.Bee Gees "The Night the Lights Went out on Broadway"

Catching a trend? Yes, I despise the Bee Gees. Their other musical pieces are not good, but this one is enough to consider never listening to disco again.(For the record I like some of this era's music) The funky synthesizers mesh beautifully with the boys' whiny voices, and this is the type of music that leads to an increase in health problems.

5.Will Smith "Will Y2k"

Poor article. Your reasons for not liking several of the songs in your "avoid" section are laughable. Just some quick notes. You mis-spelled the title of "Nights on Broadway" and Andy Gibb did not sing Tragedy. Could go on, but I think you get the point. Do some research before making a list.
