Dragon Age (Origins) - Role Playing Game Review

Dragon Age (Origins) has to be the best role-playing game of the year to me. This epic story takes place in a mythical world called Thedas where an evil Blithe has stricken the land. Demons and monsters roam the country and destroy everything in their path. As you choose from one of three

character classes, Humans, Elves and Dwarves you put your skills to the test in one of six opening scenarios. Progressing through the game you will run into some interesting people and level-up as you become Grey Warden.

You won't get bored with the choose your own adventure type dialog in this game as you do in most. The controls in this game are easy to use and understand. I do have to say that navigating the menus are a bit sketchy at first, but become second nature as you play the game. Combat is based in real time rather time based which I found to be a plus. On the other hand things do get a little crowded in combat if there are too many in the battle. Battle sequences kept me at edge of my seat throughout the whole game though which is another plus. Graphics are awesome for the game especially in HD. The music and sound effects added to the games enjoyment. The only thing I could really say that was bad about the game was not being able to put down the controller.

The freedom of exploration throughout seemed limitless when it came to wandering around the landscape. The movement of the characters in the game was smooth and not jerky. So when it comes down to it EA and the contributors to the making of Dragon Age (Origins) well done. For me I would play it again.
