18,000 Nude People Were Photographed in Mexico's Capital by Spencer Tunick!

Some people may have heard of Spencer Tunick, or at least his photographs of countless naked people in public spaces. I remember I first heard of him when my friend showed me a picture that Spencer Tunick took of her along with other people in the nude a few
18,000 Nude People Were Photographed in Mexico's Capital by Spencer Tunick!
years ago. So far, Tunick has photographed nude people in US states such as New York, Buffalo, Ohio, Nevada, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania. He also has photographed nude people from cities in Argentina, Australia, Chile, Finland, Portugal, Spain, and the U.K. Tunick's work is so well-known to the point where thousands of people will volunteer to strip down to nothing and model for the photographer.

In Spencer Tunick's work, one can immediately see how Tunick tries to show the world how beautiful the human form can be, and how it should not be something that stays hidden. He also has a fantastic eye for incredible backgrounds and how to arrange the nude human bodies to compliment the background. Before Tunick's latest project, his largest record of nude people being photographed at once was 7 thousand in Barcelona. This time, on Sunday morning, May 6, 2007, he beat his record when 18,000 people showed up and laid down in various positions as requested by the photographer in Mexico City's Zocalo square. It is said that the models burst out signing Mexician songs between shots.

That's tremendous! HBO once did a great special documentary on Tunick, which also showed his legal battle with NYC after he was arrested for the shoot he did there.
