New Uses for Broken McCoy Pottery

Those great little McCoy planters make great office supply caddies. If your little planter has been cracked or damaged in a way that will no longer allow it to hold a plant, soil, or even water, then you might like this retro office storage idea.
If you can glue back any necessary pieces of the small McCoy pottery planter to make the piece as stable as possible.
Now, take a cute piece of vintage material and cut it out to a circle that is about twice to three times the size as the opening on the McCoy planter. You can sew over the edges of the fabric and create a long seam that will allow you to slip in a vintage ribbon.
Press the fabric down into the McCoy planter. Fold the edges over onto the outside to help hide any cracks, chips, or damage. Now, use the ribbon to tie it securely in place in a bow. You are ready to load up your McCoy planter with paper clips, rubber bands, or any office supplies you want!

If your McCoy pottery completely broke after its fall, then try using the pieces to create a mosaic drink coater or even a mosaic frame. Either one of these items is very useful and will still fit into your vintage home décor. You can add mosaic tiles and broken pottery to just about any surface. Just use some tile adhesive to apply the broken McCoy pottery pieces. Allow it to dry. Now, use some grout to fill in following the instructions on the specific grout you bought.
