The days of cleaning your floors with a mop and bucket are long gone, and in it's place are convenient all in one mops like the Swiffer Sweeper and Method Omop. All in one mops are a lot less hassle since you can ditch that bucket of sudsy water. You also don't have to worry about ringing out mop heads since all in one mops either have disposable cleaning heads or cleaning heads that can be easily tossed into the washer. The only decision you'll have to make is which all in one mop is the best one for you, the Swiffer Sweeper or the Method Omop?

The Swiffer Sweeper was one of the first all in one mops heavily marketed. The Swiffer Sweeper has two types of disposable sweeping cloths available for use: wet and dry. The dry cloths can be used on all types of floors and are designed to replace your broom and dustpan. The wet cloths can be used on most types of floors, excluding unsealed tile and unfinished or waxed wood, and are designed to replace a mop and bucket. The wet clothes do contain chemicals, but they are safe for both children and pets. The Swiffer Sweeper costs about $13, and you can buy it at stores like Wal-Mart and Target. The dry and wet cloths are sold separately in packages and range in price from $3 to $5 a package.

I've used a Swiffer Sweeper to clean everything from my kitchen to my bathrooms. I find that the dry clothes do a great job at picking up hair and dust, but they tend to leave big particles behind. The wet clothes seem to be great for small spills, but when I have to clean a large area I end up using more than one wet cloth. Although the Swiffer Sweeper wet cloths are not overly chemical smelling, they don't leave the best smell in the world. I love that the Swiffer Sweeper seems to do a decent job at replacing both my broom and mop, but I don't like the fact that replacement wet and dry cloths are rather expensive.

Fantastic review - I'd never heard of the Omop either. I'll have to put that on my shopping list. Thanks!
