Recently I was in the market to purchase a high priced appliance, specifically a side by side refrigerator. The only issue was that I was on a strict budget: the entire purchase price of the refrigerator including delivery had to be under $850. I first browsed Craigslist to try and find a used refrigerator, since I had good luck with my used washer and dryer. After a few weeks with no luck I started to browse retail stores. My options were very limited because of my budget, and my choices ended up being several models from Sears, Lowes, and Best Buy. I ended up choosing the Inglis Side by Side from Best Buy because it was the lowest priced with the options that I wanted.

When I was first researching the refrigerators, I found out that the Inglis brand is manufactured by Whirlpool. This gave me a lot of peace of mind about buying a brand I had never heard of, because I knew that Whirlpool was a reputable manufacturer. The Inglis 25.4 Cubic Foot Side by Side Refrigerator came with great options, which was my major reason for choosing to purchase it. The Inglis Side by Side came with a filtered in-door water and ice maker, 3 adjustable glass shelves, meat pan and crisper, gallon door bins, 4 freezer shelves, and Accu-Chill temperature management. The cost of the Inglis 25.4 Cubic Foot Side by Side Refrigerator with delivery was $804.

The refrigerator was delivered and set up by Best Buy, and I would definitely recommend their delivery and set up services to anyone. They were in and out of my home within 30 minutes. As soon as they left, I went to check out my new refrigerator. As soon as I opened the door I noticed something that I had overlooked on the description page when I ordered the refrigerator- the absence of a small drawer. The Inglis Side by Side did have 2 large drawers, but I buy a lot of fruit and vegetables so I knew that those would be filled quickly. In my old refrigerator I had used the small drawer for meat and cheese, so I was quite disappointed to find that the Inglis Side by Side did have a small drawer. Everything else about the Inglis seemed to be great, especially for a low-priced refrigerator.

Takeaways
  • The Inglis 24.5 Cubic Foot Refrigerator cost under $850 including delivery.
  • The Inglis included many options for the price, including an in-door ice and water maker.
  • The Inglis only offers 2 large drawers, with no smaller drawer for meat and cheese.

I had a very bad experience with this brand. After 2 years, the refrigerator, became a microwave oven. Do not buy this brand at all. I spent U$ 800.00 two year ago and now, i spent u$ 1,300.00 to buy a decent one. Again, spend few dollars more, but do not buy IGLIS.
