Bare Minerals versus Sheer Cover

I have tried both of these products and I prefer Bare Minerals. I saw both of them on television infomercials and they advertised exactly what I wanted. I was looking for makeup that was easy to apply, wouldn't break out my skin and would feel light and airy on my face not heavy and greasy like typical foundation. Both of these products offer similar makeup lines yet I am going to compare the benefits, costs and then my personal experience with both products.

Sheer Cover

Sheer Cover is a makeup product line which was developed by Leeza Gibbons a television and radio personality who has been involved which Entertainment Tonight receiving 27 Daytime Emmy nominations winning 3. Actually, if you do in depth research, Sheer Cover wasn't actually created by Leeza. She is a founder of the Sheer Cover line of make-up. Sheer Cover was created as body make-up for Soap Operas for quick application. And out of all the mineral make-up that are out now, Sheer Cover is the only one that is patented. Leeza just has a passion for this make-up. That all being said, I will admit that I use both Sheer Cover and Bare Escentuals. To be specific, I prefer the Sheer Cover foundation becasue of my skin tone and type. I also use several other products like the blush, eye make up, mascara, etc. Sheer Cover is all about keeping every aspect of the make-up as natural as possible, so the make-up is very light. I always get comments on how beautiful my skin is. But if I want a more evening look, Bare Escentuals has more variety of colors for the eyes and cheeks hands down. I also use their auburn eyebrow because I'm a redhead, and Sheer Cover only covers the usual eyeb

I bought Bare Minerals for me. I have dark skin. I live in the Caribbean. I should have ordered the darkest product. There are 2 foundations for dark skin, but I ordered the lighter of the two. I like it though, but like I said next time I will order the darkest. I also ordered one from sheer cover for my friend Paula. That was the deep foundation. The colour I think does not match dark skinn. The concealor should have been for someone of white skin. Too light for dark skinned. No like

I have tried just about every powder foundation on the market and I love BM. It costs a little more, but last a long time. My main reason for giving BM my vote...it has a wide range of colors. I am African American, and BM has many colors that match darker tones. The starter was just adequate for me personally. There are some colors in the kit that don't blend well for me. But because BM is sold at a mall near my home, I was able to better match my foundations with their samples. That is the biggest downside for SC. Because it is not sold in stores, you don't really know what u are getting. Either way, both products are great for your skin!

I'm 50 YO and have been taking care of my skin religiously since I was a young teen. I've tried it all and over the years have developed what I believe to be a sensitivity to chemical sunscreens on my face. Bare Minerals , I believe, is a physical sunscreen and I use it every day rain or shine. I did try Sheer Cover and wasn't impressed enough to switch. I can get it at Ulta and they have a large selection of products. I'm an experimenter but I've found my sunscreen (I don't need coverage).

Bare minerals is the most wonderful makeup I have ever used, they sell it at fine retailers worldwide! Sheer Cover is crap, it's awful, I feel bad for anyone who is impressed with Sheer Cover its disgusting and globby it looks like a lumpy mask. Bare minerals is the love of my life it is truly the most amazing product I have ever used!

OMG! SHEER COVER SUCKS! I TRIED THIS CHEAP CRAP AND MY SKIN PEELED OFF MY FACE! It was the worst makeup I have ever tried I think that dollar store makeup would've worked better. I LOVE MY BARE MINERALS!!! Trust me it is the most wonderful makeup you will ever try. It's pure and fresh and it makes your skin goregous! BARE MINERALS GIVES YOU A LUMINOUS GLOW! I hate sheer cover it's awful!!!!!! BUY SHEER COVER IF YOU WANT UNNATURAL LOOKING SKIN THAT LOOKS LIKE A CHEAP LIQUID MASK! I adore bare minerals and will never use anything else. The brushes are luxurious and make your skin look airbrushed! Sheer Cover's itchy brushes are probably made of butt hair!!! PRETTY GIRLS USE BARE MINERALS!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't sheer cover that I had the problem with, it was the FREE magazines that i received. I called at least 3 times to cancel. I only took them because 3 issues were supposed to be free. Now, it seems like a weekly struggle of waiting on hold for a good ten minutes, to yet again cancel my subscription. Moral of the story: don't take free stuff, nothing is free!

Hi^.^!!! I, particularly prefer Sheer Cover! I am using more than the 1 month, and adored! Therefore it is 100% mineral, it is super natural and it has some options of colors! E also has the brush for travel, much practical to retouch the Make up! It always saw the TV commercial, and I was very curious, therefore the normal make up very make badly the skin for containing oil, and also the make up does not last for much time! It is a tip mainly for the young girls, therefore it prevents that the skin ages and is super healthful Sheer Cover My skin is well white and I have overseer, Sheer Cover I was the only make up that covered very well! I advise to buy '' Sheer Cover '' I am excellent the Kit to test! For me it functioned as a magic ! Now , I do not want nor more to know of others make up! I have been using bm for months now and I have to agree with the other comments. when it comes their consealer; their product truly suck! I have to use dermablend before I apply my powder because the their consealing powders don't coverup anything. I have combination skin and need something that wont continue to dry out my skin, I will be ordering sc today. I hear they have a nonpowder consealer.
