What Will Happen After the "Idol" Tour?

It's gotten down to the wire for the remaining American Idol (AI) contestants. The FOX network's most watched television program holds surprises each and every season. What's interesting to note is where these contestants end up after they have had their 15 minutes of fame belting it out on stage for the grand title : American Idol.

This year, during Season Six, the buzz was alight with talk about competitors like Sanjaya Malakar, who has amazed and annoyed his fair share of the viewing public. Additional highlights like Melinda Doolittle and Blake Lewis have made the show even more interesting to watch. After this season's show concludes, the ten new stars will find themselves on tour which will begin in July of 2007 in Florida. But once the tour wraps up in the fall, what will happen to America's beloved Idol hopefuls? Take a peek at a few predictions.

Idol: Gina Glocksen (23 yrs old)

Gina Glocksen, who finished in ninth place in American Idol's Top Ten, finally displayed the highlights of her true genre rather close to her April 4^th elimination. The Illinois native donned spiky glam-inspired hairstyles and was this season's resident female rocker. But overall, her look was a bit more edgy than her performances on the show.

Nonetheless, this pleasant 23 year old found her niche on American Idol, showcasing her lofty vocals and sensitive appeal. This, in and of itself will qualify Gina Glocksen for a fairly solid music career with a mid-range recording company. This will keep her in the Hollywood spotlight for at least 2-3 years. With the right musicians, marketing, and promotion however, she could find herself becoming the next voice of a new "Evanescence."
