Rimmel London Stay Matte Make-Up for Normal to Oily Skin VS. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation
Cosmetics have been important to men and women throughout history. They are even mentioned in the Old Testament and other ancient writings from many different cultures. Egyptians have a well-known history of wearing makeup. Archeologists found cosmetics that were still fragrant and
well-preserved in King Tut's tomb when they opened it in 1922. As with the Egyptians, I don't want to be caught dead without my makeup either.
I've always been envious of anyone who can get up in the morning, makeup free, and look rosy-cheeked and fresh. Honestly, I'm usually blotchy and blemished in one place or another. My pale face makes the shadows under my eyes even darker leaving me looking like I haven't slept in nearly a week.
I'm completely astonished at what miracles makeup can do for me. I know I'm not alone in this, because I've seen the front page tabloids exposing celebrity beauties without makeup. Knowing they can be less than perfect in the morning doesn't make me feel better about my appearance in the morning. This is where I tell you it's what's on the inside that counts. Since I don't present myself to the world inside out, I went shopping for new foundation.
After a foundation that I'd worn for what seemed like forever was discontinued (grrrr I hate when companies do this to the stuff I love), I had to start shopping for a new one. When it comes to makeup I tend to be a cheap-skate. I've always been that way. If I can get a great foundation for $3-$6 instead of $12 and up and it works well, then that's the one for me.
I've boughten various Rimmel London makeup products and been completely satisfied with the quality and the price. That was until I tried the Rimmel London Stay Matte Make Up for Normal to Oily Skin. This is the worst foundation I have ever used. The product says I can expect "up to 6 hours of shine free complexion." Does this mean it could be as little as five minutes? I'm afraid even this is an exaggeration.
