5 Las Vegas Nightclubs that Put the Sin Back in Sin CIty
From the Eclectic Pure to the Casual Wasted Space These Clubs Won't Dissappoint
20 years ago nightclubs in Las Vegas were mostly found off the strip. The Shark Club and The Drink were the clubs then and both were located over a mile away from the casinos. The casino bosses didn't want their gamblers spending hundreds of dollars in clubs, when the very same customers could be feeding their slot machines instead. It wasn't until the Rio opened Club Rio that casinos opened their eyes to the possibilities.Club Rio was the answer when any customer at any casino asked ," Where can I find a nightclub in this town?." Club Rio had the market cornered. The lines were a mile long and the people would wait because Club Rio was the place to be and be seen in Las Vegas. None of the big casinos had a nightclub but they would soon try to follow suit. The early incarnations of other clubs were no match for Club Rio but soon the introduction of new companies who would four wall (pay to lease the club space from the casino) would create a new industry in Las Vegas that survives today.
