Junalyn Uminga, 27, Taken to University Hospital in Columbia After Serious 2 Car Accident

Original Work and Interviews completed by Lisa M Sanborn, of St Charles, MO.At 9:47 am on Friday, November 13, 2009, a two-car collision occurred in Montgomery County, Missouri, causing serious injury to at least one of the 4 individual occupants.
Junalyn Uminga, a 27 year-old young lady from Kansas City, Missouri was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by an ambulance immediately after the accident. According to Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper Broniec (Troop F), her husband, Marvin Uminga, 31, was driving a 1998 Honda, and she was riding along as a passenger.
Gregory Krumpelman, 36, of Robertsville, Missouri was driving his 2003 Dodge in the opposite direction, heading toward the couple. When Mr. Uminga attempted to cross MO route 19, he failed to see Mr. Krumpelman in his dodge heading toward them. The Dodge struck the Honda where Mrs. Uminga was sitting on the passenger side of the vehicle. All occupants and drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The Honda was totaled while the dodge sustained moderate damage. Both vehicles were towed away by Buds Rental and Recovery of New Florence, MO.
Junalyn Uminga was taken to the University Hospital in Columbia. She was listed by the Highway Patrol as having serious injuries. A third occupant was riding with the Uminga couple also. Fred Cruz of Kansas City, Missouri was also taken to the University Hospital in Columbia and listed with moderate injuries. Fred Cruz was immediately released from the ER. According to the ER attendant at the University Hospital in Columbia, Junalyn Uminga was in good condition as of 2:00pm on Friday afternoon. The attendant said that she expected Mrs. Uminga to be released by late afternoon or early evening.
