Working Toward the Self Esteem of Terrorists

We Are the World

The Fort Hood shooter Nadil Malik Hasan shouted 'Allahu Akhbar' as he proceeded to gun down his victims, witnesses said. Was this shooting a terrorist act? This quote is itself good evidence that indeed it was. This statement is often shouted by terrorists as they do what terrorists do. In addition to this the London Sunday Telegraph (Nov. 7) reported that Hasan attended the same mosque (Dar al-Hi rah) two 9-11 hijackers were attending at the same time they were attending. Hasan was said to have 'deep respect' for the mosque's imam, Al-Awlaki, who is an 'al-Qaeda supporter'. In the November 8 edition of the Telegraph Hasan is said to have given a lecture to other doctors where he said 'non-believers should be beheaded'. This is typical SOP for terrorists as well. (Daniel Pearl, Eugene Armstrong, Barea Ibraham, etc.). Dr. Val Finnell who studied with Hasan from 2007-2008 said that during one of Hasan's presentations he 'justified suicide bombing' and spoke 'anti-American propaganda' (AP Nov. 7). The New York Post November 7 edition reported that Hasan 'was overheard cheering the shooting death of a Little Rock army recruiter by a Muslim.'

Muslim Indiana Democrat Andre Carson said of the shooting, 'This is no way a reflection of Islam any more than Timothy McVeigh's actions are a reflection of Christianity.' Timothy McVeigh's last words to this world were from the poem Invictus, not John 3:16. This poem is the atheist's rah-rah song. McVeigh was in no way a Christian by the longest stretch. But is the Fort Hood shooting a reflection of Islam? I would say yes. Not all Muslims commit terrorist acts, but by and large the terrorism market seems to be cornered by Islam and Hasan was a devout Muslim. Do we fear the content of the Bible as we might worry about the content of the Koran? Much is said about 'homophobic' Christians, but I doubt that homosexuals are trembling in fear of a Christian who's 'out to get them.' (I haven't heard of a homosexual who was killed because he or she put on a wedding dress.)
