"The Laramie Project" was written by The Tectonic Theatre Company in response to the murder of Matthew Sheppard, a young gay man, in Laramie Wy. What is unique about the play is that all of the dialouge is culled from multiple interviews that the actors conducted with the residents of Laramie. It is a documentary brought to the stage.

I totally agree, Steve, but this piece is way too wordy for this medium. People are more likely to read things online than ever before but you're really pushing the envelope, lol. After reading the first two paragraphs I skipped to the last page, just to see if you were naive enough to suggest that arts do NOT affect social change. You are not, thank God, and good for you. Seems like a long way around to an almost obvious conclusion, though.
