Review: Hilton Rome Airport Hotel

A Great Airport Hotel

We stayed at the Hilton Rome Airport the night before our flight back to the U.S.A. We had spent a few days in Rome and headed on the train to the airport Sunday evening.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was a LONG queue at the front desk. The setup is strange: there are two clerkson either end of the desk and a clerk in the middle with a sign that says "Hilton HHonors". As a Gold VIP member, I joined the HHonors line (which is restricted to VIP members in most Hiltons) but then realised the other lines were moving faster. The checkin clerks were not that efficient.

However, the hotel itself is quite lovely. The room is well-equipped. I was on the Executive Floor, which has a very nice lounge with evening snacks and complimentary breakfast. Many of the bottles of wine were empty in the lounge, but usually it has a full bar, soft drinks, and coffee throughout the day.

The bed was very comfortable and had nice linens. The room was stocked with free water, both sparkling and non-sparkling.

It's a great place to have a relaxing night's sleep before a morning departure.
