Oprah Winfrey has got to be hands down the most influential person in media history. So you can imagine the excitement of everyone affiliated with the Shaklee Company when Oprah featured Shaklee's Get Clean Kit as one of her favorite products on her Earth Day show on April 20, 2007.

Shaklee is a multi-level marketing company that has been around for over 50 years. The company specializes in Earth-friendly cleaning products, air and water purification systems, nutrition products, cosmetics, etc. Shaklee's founder wanted products that could be used without harming the environment. He came up with the original formula for Basic H, one of the products in the Get Clean Kit, was developed in 1960. Basic H also was named an official Earth Day product in 1990.

Roger and Sloan Barnett bought the Shaklee Corporation three years ago. Roger has a huge vision for the company. Right now the products and business opportunity are available in five countries. Roger wants the company to expand to 50 countries in the next ten years.

The Barnetts discovered Shaklee products when their oldest child Spencer was a toddler and began suffering from asthma attacks. Spencer's attacks began to get so bad that he had to be hospitalized. After some research his parents discovered that toxins found in cleaning products could bring on asthma. They did some more research and decided to try Shaklee cleaning products. They were so impressed with the effectiveness of the products and the improvement in their son's health that they bought the company. Spencer's asthma has since disappeared.

Shaklee's get clean kit is not only safe for the environment and you family but is also cost effective. The Get Clean Kit replaces 830 bottles or boxes of conventional ready to use products (cleaning and laundry). That's over $3400 of equivalent cleaning power.

Since the products in the Get Clean Kit are super concentrated, they must be diluted, which is why the kit also comes with all of the tools you need to dilute your products.

Takeaways
  • Shaklee has been in business for over 50 years, and has never had a product recall.
  • Shaklee products are safe for the environment and your family.
  • Shaklee products are cost effective.
