Arizona and Lipton have both released a version of green tea that comes bottled for on the go convenience. Lipton Diet Green Tea with Citrus and Arizona Diet Green Tea with Ginseng have taken the beverage world by storm. Both products offer all the benefits of green tea with the added bonus of being offered in a diet version.

What's so great about green tea?

I, like many others, have been pulled into the green tea craze. It has been advertised as the key ingredient in numerous products and is touted as having a wealth of benefits. It has been advertised as being contained in a range of products from nail growth products to diet supplements. However, the key benefit of drinking green tea is for the benefit of its powerful antioxidants. According to The Tea FAQ.com, green tea contains more EGCG than the other teas. The antioxidant EGCG "has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in the laboratory" and they credit EGCG with lowering cholesterol levels and helping to protect against autoimmune diseases. They also credit green tea consumption to burning calories and preventing tooth decay.

The Taste Test

Arizona Diet Green Tea with Ginseng and Lipton Diet Green Tea with Citrus have very different tastes. Arizona Diet Green Tea with Ginseng has a strong taste of honey. Although both products contain honey as an ingredient, the Arizona brand provides the drinker with a strong taste of honey, whereas the Lipton product's citrus infusion allows only for citrus to be the primary taste. Lipton Diet Green Tea with Citrus tastes very similar to a bottled mixed fruit drink.
