Best Kept Secrets on the Emerald Coast: What to Do Outside Besides the Beach

Not every one wants to spend a whole day laying on the beach. Sometimes, it can be hard to find something else to do. These used to be my favorite things to do when I lived on the Emerald Coast. Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park
The water park features dozens of slides, quiet pools, and the biggest man made waterfall in the world The adventure park features a mini golf course, go carts, and the Cyclone,an airplane with an 80 foot propeller which straps you to the end when the plane starts up. There is food available on site, Park hours are listed on their website. General admittance is $34.99 + tax, Junior admittance is $28.99 + tax , senior $28.99 + tax , two and under are free.
Gator Beach
Located at Fudpucker's Restaurant in Destin, Gator Beach is the only Gator Show in the area. Gator Beach is also home to a rare yellow gator, You can feed the alligators or even have your picture taken with a life alligator. There is a live educational alligator show with friendly gator handlers. You can even take a stroll through our educational wildlife exhibit area. You can learn about the nature habitat of alligators and learn the difference between alligators and crocodiles. Best of all it is free!
Goofy Golf
This is a small put-put golf place. Its incredibly cheap and if you can sink the golf ball in the snakes mouth on hole eighteen-you get a free game!
The Track Family Recreation Center
The Track offers the family entertainment attractions. They have go-karts,mini-golf, bumper rides, a bungee jump,and SKYFLYER, which is skydiving without the plane. There is also Kids Country. This features rides geared just for the kids. These rides include: the Rio Grande Train, the carousel, the Red Baron Plane Ride, Spin Tops, Swings, Ferris Wheel, and the Jungle Jumper bounce ride. There are also two kids only go kart tracks. They also have an arcade featuring skee-ball and video games. If you order your tickets online, you can save 10%
