So, the first thing you need to do is cut out a strip of your vintage Feedsack fabric out to 4 inches wide and about 7 inches long.

You will need two pieces of vintage fabric.

Now, cut out your fusible interfacing to this same size.

Iron your fusible interfacing to one piece of your rectangle vintage Feedsack fabric.

Now, take both rectangles of fabric and face them pattern side together. Sew along all sides; leaving one of the short ends open.

You want to sew about 5/8 inch in from the edges on all side.

Turn your napkin ring right side out.

Now, use the iron to smooth out your vintage napkin ring and create crisp edges.

Fold the rough ends of the fabric in the open pocket on the napkin ring. Now, use the iron to smooth down the open end. You can sew this shut by hand or with your sewing machine. No sew would also work.

Now, fold the Vintage Feed Sack Napkin Ring around like a circle and pin it shut. Sew the retro napkin ring shut with a vintage button!

Now, here are a few tips to create some unique and custom retro napkin rings.

Use two different vintage Feedsack fabrics, one on the inside of the napkin ring and a different one on the outside.

Before you sew the napkin ring shut use some fun stitches along the lines of the retro napkin ring. Use a zigzag stitch, circle stitch, or even embroidered family member names on them.

You can also make two buttonholes on each end of the napkin ring and use vintage ribbon to tie it shut in a bow! Be sure to match your ribbon to an accent color in the vintage Feedsack fabric.
