Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Video Game Review
If you haven't already gotten a chance to play Uncharted 2: Among thieves for PlayStation 3, then this is one game you won't want to miss out on. Take my word, read it somewhere else or go to your local movie rental establishment and rent the video game and find out for yourself why everyone is raving and what sets this game above and beyond the series pilot game, Drake's Fortune.
I was personally expecting this game to be decent but had no idea how much Naughty Dog and Sony were going to kick it up a notch to turn Nathan Drake's character from being just another video game guy to a top runner in gaming history. This year; in 2009, I quote from the PlayStation Official Magazine regarding Uncharted 2 and here's what the pros have to say about it, "...one of the best games of all time." I agree. Simple and solidly one of the best games created for the PS3 console yet.
The storyline is not much different from the original game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, however it has grown a bit more complex. Don't worry, it's definitely for the better. Controls for this video game are the same, so if you played Uncharted then you will be a natural at Uncharted 2. It's in the main storyline and basic gaming campaigns where this game shines to new levels.
This time Nathan Drake is chasing after an unsolved mystery with a caliber that screams school text books for the next 1,000 years. For the parents point of view I already give this game a thumbs-up as it is engaging your child in history and creating a fun way that children are actually interested in learning, plus we all know about the hand-eye coordination skills required in gaming. Back to the point at hand here though. His new voyage is based around the Marco Polo incident in China of 1292 where 13 ships with hundreds of people simply went missing and are still unexplained to this day and that is where the your goal in this game lies.
I don't want to spoil anything here, so I'll let you discover the gameplay and storyline more in-depth on your own, so let's talk about features in this game that set it above the bar.

The storyline of this game ravels around the historic event of the Marco Polo ships disappearing in 1292 when only one returned home carrying only 18 surviving passengers out of a close estimate of the 600 people on the 14 ships set abroad.
