Adam Lambert's 'For Your Entertainment' Music Video Pictures Stir Controversy
Pictures taken from the music video shoot of Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment" single have surfaced on the Web, and - surprise, surprise - they're generating a bit of controversy. According to Aceshowbiz, Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment" music video was shot at the Alexandria in downtown Los Angeles and features - gasp! - a number of dancers dressed in sexually provocative clothing.
So, based on the lyrics of "For Your Entertainment" and the attire of the dancers in the "For Your Entertainment" video, Adam Lambert is clearly sexing it up big time - at least with respect to the title track and accompanying video from his first major album. He has said in interviews that "For Your Entertainment" contains a range of songs so one hopes that he has something to offer those fans who consider "For Your Entertainment" to be something of a disappointment .
Many have drawn comparisons between Adam Lambert and the legendary King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Aaron Presley. Adam Lambert, like Elvis, is a once-in-a-lifetime performer who is absolutely dripping with charisma and sex appeal. Adam Lambert, like Elvis, sports a thick mane of jet black hair (dyed in both cases) and has the kind of sensuous good looks that make women swoon and men quiver with envy.
And now yet another comparison can be made between Lambert and the King: Adam Lambert, like Elvis, is creating an uproar by performing in a provocative and overtly sexual manner. And Adam Lambert, like Elvis, is drawing condemnation from some people (including not a few fans) for doing so.
You have to remember, that, back in the day, some considered Elvis to be a sexual pervert and a grave danger to young people. But, obviously, the hysteria died down and Elvis went on to become arguably the most beloved and talented performer in history.
Thus, if you have your knickers in a twist about the sexual nature of Adam Lambert's debut single and accompanying video, give yourself time to calm down and stop taking Adam and yourself so bloody seriously.

I love that every song is a production with costumes, make-up, and some actual stage presence. He's into the moment of performing, just like you'd expect from an expert surgeon. Would you want anything less?

This guy is going to have to develop a really thick skin for the road ahead. This type of contraversial figure attracks alot of angry people.
Rob Cavallo (big time music producer) stated that Adam is one of the most gifted vocalists he has ever heard and if Adam remains true to himself then he will be among the greats.
Adam will in the meantime have to deal with hate groups such as VFTW and The WBC. But those type of small minded bigots are everywhere.

Interestingly enough I had visted my family over the weekend and we discussed Adam Lambert and did in fact compare him with Elvis Presley. Elvis is of my mother's generation. She told me that she saved up her babysitting money to buy Elvis albums and she had to hide them from her mother. Elvis at the time was considered to sexual. It's interesting that the world has come along way since then but then again it's gone full circle. Earlier this morning I read an interview with Adam by OUT magazine where he said people are freaked out about male sexuality. He has a valid point doesn't he? I see female singers letting it all hang out and do every type of gyration known to mankind.
I do know that just about every female in my life (wife and mother included) are floored by Adam Lambert. So obviously he does something for woman. Personally, I view him as an extremely gifted vocalist with a lot of charisma.

I love that Adam is just letting his years on stage play a role in his performances. He doesn't take himself too seriously and loves to perform. We are lucky to have such a remarkable talent before us. This video is playing on how the fans through whips, hand cuffs, underware, etc at him during the tour. Adam is wonderful and full of life and artistic expression - Go Adam!!!

Glad to see Adam kicking up his creative heels. Wish he would show some more skin himself, like in his Bowie medley on the Idols Live tour. He's an exciting and fascinating entertainer. Bring it on, Adam! I want to see some hot dancing!
I'll pass on the video. Only Elvis is Elvis. Adam needs to forge his own unique identity.

ADAM is NEVER boring. ADAM excites, thrills and electrifies. And that's the anxious expectation of his rabid fans from his videos and from his performances. And I expect ADAM to entertain for long long long time to come.

You have confirmed the rest of what I know are the common denominators between ADAM and ELVIS aside from what the writer has enumerated.
Let me add more: Both are kind, sharing and giving people. Elvis was so generous to those around him and to those in need. Both are dripping with gorgeousness and magnetism. Both are electrifying performers. Both are consummate entertainers. Both like the leather jackets get up and both have smoldering looks. Finally both are HOTT!

I don't see what the big deal is have you seen Lady Gaga's video. Why is it ok for a female singers video to be sexy. Adam's will be amazing. I am counting the days.
