Dancing with the Stars Season 9 Week 9 Performances

DWTS Semi-finals Require 3 Complete Routines from Each Star

Four couples sauntered onto the dance floor, each leaving a week's worth of sweat and tears behind them. For the first time ever, Dancing with the Stars is demanding 3 full routines from the celebrities - 1 ballroom, one Latin and 1 choice. Each star will be performing a solo during the Latin dance. Host Tom Bergeron called it a night of endurance and skill. With only 3 spots open in the finals, there was much at stake.

Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson - Total 74

Tango - A wardrobe malfunction forced the pair to alter their choreography on the fly and the result was unfortunately a lackluster performance that needed chemistry and pizzazz. All three judges found it short of spectacular. Score 21

Samba - Light, bouncy, the seventies Osmond Brothers' song One Bad Apple put Donny in his element. Len called it an absolute metamorphisis from the efvening's earlier dance. Bruno called it effortless and carefree though Carrie Ann felt Donny danced a little "small" and didn't extend enough. Score 26

Jitterbug - High energy, full of tricks and fun, this was Donny's best dance. Len called it hot, tasty and full of spice. Len deemed it delicious and Carrie Ann called it excellent. Score 27

Mya and Dmitry Chaplin -Total 87

Waltz - Loaded with spins and elegance, Len said it was a joy to watch. Bruno said it was like watching love set to music. Carrie Ann felt the couple seemed the slightest bit disconnected. Score 28

Samba - The absolute best dance of the night. Carrie Ann appreciated the difficult choreography and Bruno declared it sensational. Len was mesmerized by her buttocks...it really did move! Score 30

Cha Cha Cha - Carrie Ann thought the beginning didn't speak to her and Bruno said that was because she was deaf. Len was disappointed because he wanted it to go on longer. Score 29

Kelly Osbourne and Louie Van Amstel - Total 78

Rumba - A sensual and moving rumba reached right into Carrie Ann's heart and gave me goose bumps. Len called it competent but not her best dance while Bruno said it wasn't sultry enough. Score 24
