Last time I left you, I had told you about the top three dog breeds out of the fifty most popular. Now I will tell you about the dog breeds that made it into the position of top numbers 4, 5, 6, and 7. These dogs go most popular to least popular.

Like before, below the breed's name your will find: height, weight, life span, temperament, living conditions, and health problems. Use this information to help you find your 'perfect' dog.

4. American Cocker Spaniel

Height: Height between the two genders will vary in this breed. Males normally stand 15 ½ inches (38cm) tall, and the females normally stand 14 ½ inches (36.8cm) tall.

Weight: Weight between the two genders will not vary in this breed. Both male and female will weigh 15-30 pounds (7-14 kg.)

Temperament: This breed is a bold type of dog. They are keen, sweet, cheerful, playful, active, and gentle with children.

Life span: This dog will average 12-15 years.

Living conditions: This breed will do fine living the apartment life, but they are quite active indoors. A small yard is required, though.

Health problems: The Cocker spaniel is prone to glaucoma and patellar luxation, hip dysplasia, ectropion, entropion, PRA, seborrhea, lip fold pyoderma, otitis externa, liver disease, urolithiasis, prolapse of nictitans gland, CHF, cardiomyopathy, Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, cataracts, ectropion, allergies, and elbow dysplasia.

5. Australian Shepherd

Height: Height between the two genders will vary in this breed. Males normally stand 20-23 inches (52-58cm) tall, and females normally stand 18-21 inches (46-53cm) tall.

Weight: Weight between the two genders will vary in this breed. Males usually weight in at 50-65 pounds (25-29 kg), and the females usually weigh in at 40-55 pounds (18-25 kg.)

Temperament: This breed is among the courageous. They are easy-going, affectionate, loyal, playful, trustworthy, active dogs. They are also great with children.

Life span: This breed will average 12-15 years of age.

Living conditions: This breed is NOT met to live the apartment life. They are semi-active indoors, and are required to have a large yard.
