Belgian Beer Cafes in Philadelphia
Belgian restaurants and cafes are well known for their emphasis on high quality Belgian and other imported beers. The city of Philadelphia offers a few excellent restaurants.
Monk's Cafe
Monk's cafe calls itself a "Belgian Beer Emporium" and with good reason. This quaint cafe features two full bars both offering up many different beers on tap. At any given time there is over a dozen beers on tap with upwards of 150 + beers available by the bottle from around the world. The Monk's cafe owner also proudly serves an exclusive Belgian beer made just for Monk's by an actual monastery in Belgium. Monk's serves up a variety of Belgian and American foods and is known for it's steamed mussels that come served in large pots. The mussels are simmered in Monk's custom designed broths; some which include Belgian beers as the broth itself.
