Holiday Events in Southern Oregon

Looking for places to make lasting memories with the family? If you live in Southern Oregon or are passing through, make sure to check out these events, taking place during this coming holiday season.

Begin your holidays with Medford's 4th Annual Turkey Shoot. If you're into basketball and turkey, this is your spot. Those participating will be broken into various groups, according to age. The team (one parent to one child) with the most balls thrown through the hoops in one minute will win a turkey. Ages 4-12 years with an adult present will be able to participant between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cost is four cans of non-perishable food items per team, which will be donated to ACCESS Inc. St. Paul's Ladies' Guild's "Christmas for Missions" Bazaar will be held on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20 to Nov. 21, 9am - 3pm. The bazaar will feature the Christmas "Cookie Walk" and handcrafted items for the home. You can find it at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on 5^th St in Grants Pass. Contact Gale at 541-476-2565.

Also coming up is the fun and infamous Gingerbread Jubilee, held at the Craterian Theater on Central Avenue, November 21-25. This is one event you'll want to take the kids to, for sure. You will be awed and inspired when you walk in to see gingerbread houses like you've never seen them before. There is a small admission fee.

On Saturday, November 21^st, it's the Southern Oregon Book & Author Fair from 10-4:30 at the Springs Hotel on Main Street. Almost 60 authors will be in attendance to meet with the public for this annual event. Mysteries, historical novels and more will be represented. Bring a friend and have a great time!
