Adam Lambert Good Morning America Appearance Cancelled?
Adam Lambert's Good Morning America appearance has apparently been nixed according to several blogs and fan sites. Adam Lambert was scheduled to have an appearance on the ABC talk show but has since been uninvited apparently thanks to his American Music Awards performance.
The performance by Adam Lambert was very sexual and perhaps too risque for a morning talk show like Good Morning America. Lambert, during the AMA performance, grabbed at certain body parts, made out with a fellow dancer and seemingly fondled other dancers. It was not tame by an means. Lambert, who is openly gay, was apparently upset with the news and considered it as a type of discrimination. So the question is, if you are producer, of Good Morning America, would you invite Adam Lambert following the AMA performance and the following not so great reaction?
It's certainly become very talkable. People are buzzing the Adam Lambert performance on the American Music Awards up. Not always in a good way though. The Adam Lambert AMA video has certainly created quite a stir and perhaps Good Morning America wants to stay away from that type of controversy.
So in his infant stages, Adam Lambert is becoming a bad boy of rock and roll. Or whatever genre you would call it. His "For Your Entertainment" at the AMA's was certainly a show tune type song mixed with a little pop and Liza Minelli. It probably wouldn't fall under any genre and Adam Lambert perhaps is creating his own genre at this point in the game. The problem for Adam Lambert is which radio station is going to play something that is so inbetween other types of music?
It might not even be inbetween. It might be so out of the box that people don't accept it on a large level. The American Idol runnerup is certainly creating a huge buzz. If he wanted to make a splash with his live performance at the AMA's he certainly accomplished that. The only issue is which direction the buzz will go. So far, most of it on the internet has been negative concerning the Adam Lambert AMA video.
