A fiery rage seems to be the prime ingredient for murder when a Michigan dad kills his teenage son execution style on Monday night, November 16, 2009.
After hearing that 15 year old Jamar Pinkney Jr. molested his 3 year old half-sister, 37 year old Jamar Pinkney Sr., a mailman for the United States Postal Service barged into his ex wife's home at Highland Park, Mi. with a gun. Pinkney Sr. who apparently lives with his new wife and their 3 year old daughter ordered his son to get naked and then dragged him out to an open vacant field. Lazette Cherry, the boy's mother called her ex husband, Jamar Pinkney Sr. and told him that their son Jamar confessed that he has been having "inappropriate contact" with his little sister. Jamar also confessed to his mother that he knew it was wrong to lay naked on top of his 3 year old half-sister, but he did not penetrate her. Cherry called her ex husband in hopes that they can seek help for their son together. But what happened that night left Cherry devastated and grief stricken.
Jamar Pinkney showed up at his ex wife's home and then engaged in an argument with his son. The argument turned violent when Jamar Pinkney Sr. started to hit Jamar Jr. in the head. Lazette Cherry pleaded and tried to stop the two, but Jamar Sr. pulled out a gun and proceeded to whip his son with it. It was then that Jamar Sr. ordered his son to strip naked, dragged him out to the open field, and shot him in the head with a single bullet. According to family members, they saw Jamar Jr. on his knees begging for his life. "No daddy! No!" were the words that came out of his mouth before his father pulled the trigger. After shooting his son in the head execution style, Jamar Sr. was seen leaving the scene very calmly. Jamar was taken to the hospital and later died from his injury.

Jessica, you're mostly right, but who even brought up the word "martyr", but you? Mr. Burns, you're retarded. Jamar Sr. is cruel, and deserves the death penalty, after suffering a year of guilt and regret first. I hate that man for what he did to his own son, and I hope he burns in hell forever!

They are wanting to put a park in honor of this person who admittedly was a child molester? Yes, he was killed but in most cases it is not an isolated incident, he was deranged and sick and would have done this act repeatly as he got older. I am not saying he should have been killed but that is no reason to make him a martyr like he was completely innocent and was killed for no reason. How long do you bet it takes for someone in the school to come forward that he touched them inappropriately also, things like this snowball and sadly is not a single incident of molestation.

@ Alyssa: according to this article it states that the boy confessed to his mother and she told the father. This is just sad, sad, sad... no matter which way you look at it. The father was irrational at the time, I'm sure now he has a lot of guilt he's dealing with on so many levels. The child...she's going to need counseling and pray she can maintain a healthy relationship with men (now with no father and abused by brother), both mothers, and the boy. For him to confess, he was remorseful and regretful of what he did...he could have needed and used counseling. He didn't deserve to die nor does the father if the state seeks the DP.

The father's mind may have snapped, and now that he's had time to cool down, he may regret it. I wonder how the moms found out that the teen had been fondling and dry-humping the little girl. Did he confess of his own volition out of sincere guilt or did the baby say something to indicate what was going on? Why didn't the mom call the cops when the beating got so severe? It's a sad situation all-around. I hope the baby will get the counseling she will surely need.
I don't know about the first degree murder charge sticking. Obviously he was in an extremely agitated state of mind and most people would be upon learning such a thing. But although many will say they would kill someone for molesting their child, few will really do it.
Mr. Burns, Jamar Sr. is father to both the boy and the little girl. They are half siblings.
