Help Reduce Your Wait Time at Your Next Doctors Appointment
Waiting at a doctor's office is very frustrating. It takes time out of your day, and we usually put it off until we absolutely have to go. This is some steps you can take to reduce your wait time.
Call your Doctors office and ask what days they have early morning appointments available. Trying to get the first appointment of the day will help you get seen faster.
Tell them you will call them back in 10 minutes to set up the appointment. Take this time to look at your schedule and see what day would be best for you. I recommend not choosing Mondays; this is the day that everyone makes appointments. Some people do not make appointments they just show up.
Call the Doctors office back and set your appointment. Ask the receptionist if you will be filling out any paperwork. If you will have to, arrive a few minutes early. Even if you have the first appointment of the day, the office usually opens a few minutes before there first appointment.
Most doctors' offices have you set appointments, but are first come, first serve. You can ask the receptionist if they do this. If so, arrive early to your appointment.
I have followed these steps for every appointment I have had recently, and they work. I usually only wait for about five minutes to be seen.
