We all love to have a clean home that is free from bacteria and germs, and fortunately there are many products out there to help us with that task. Some of the best cleaning products out there are surface sanitizing sprays. Surface sanitizing sprays kill harmful bacteria like E.Coli and Salmonella, and are nearly indispensable in areas like the kitchen. Two of the best surface sanitizing sprays on the market right now are, Clorox Anywhere Spray and Lysol Food Surface Sanitizer. Both surface sanitizers claim to kill harmful bacteria, but what are the major differences between the two products and how do these differences effect their usefulness in the home?

Clorox Anywhere Spray is a hard surface sanitizer made of a low concentration of specially formulated bleach and purified water. The sanitizing spray kills harmful bacteria such was E.Coli, Salmonella, Staph and Strep. Clorox Anywhere Spray claims to leave no harsh odors or chemical residue, and it's safe to use on nearly any hard surface. Some of the hard surfaces suggested for the use of the spray by Clorox are: highchairs, toys, garbage cans, cutting boards, toilets, bathtubs, and door knobs. Clorox Anywhere Spray does not require any rinsing after use, unlike many other sanitizing sprays. Clorox Anywhere spray can even be used on finished wood, also unlike many other sanitizing sprays. When I used the Clorox Anywhere Spray I found that it did have a slight chemical smell, but it did not seem to leave any chemical residue. The chemical smell was very slight and faded within a minutes after spraying Clorox Anywhere Spray, but it was still noticeable. I used the spray on many items around my home, but since it did have that slight chemical smell I didn't feel safe using it on my daughter's toys without rinsing it off. I felt confident that the Clorox Anywhere Spray was really killing the germs and bacteria, and overall I was very pleased with it's performance.

Takeaways
  • Both Clorox Anywhere Spray and Lysol Food Surface Sanitizer claim to kill dangerous bacteria.
  • Clorox Anywhere Spray is very verstile but has a slight chemical odor.
  • Lysol Food Surface Sanitizer is formulated for use on food surfaces and has no chemical odor.

Good review, but I like my plain old white vinegar. I'm an all-natural cleaning kind of girl.
