The Taylor Brewing Company in Lombard, Illinois - Great Food, Great Beer, Great Prices

My husband and I are always on a quest to find good food and ambiance in the western suburbs of Chicago, close to our own home. We have found just that at one of our new favorite local joints. The Taylor Brewing Company is located in Lombard, Illinois on Butterfield Road and is family owned by the Taylor's who came up with the idea of a restaurant/brewery many years ago while brewing beer in their own basement.

It's not only their homemade beer that the Taylor's are famous for, though. Their large menu of delicious lunch and dinner choices is also being recognized throughout the city and suburbs.

When visiting this pub-like eatery, I usually order a mushroom, Swiss cheeseburger which consists of marinated mushrooms in a wine sauce, fresh cheese, fries and a pickle. The Taylor Brewing Company, in fact, recently received Chicagoland's Best Burger Award delivered by the famous Chicago Tribune Newspaper. And there are ten beefy burgers to choose from including: the bleu cheeseburger, the bacon burger and the parmesan cheeseburger. They are reasonably priced from $7.99 to $10.00.

My husband loves the Taylor Brewing Company ribs which are sweet and saucy and fall right off the bone. His favorite entrée has also won accolades receiving the Best Rib Award in a popular local rib fest. A full slab goes for $20.99, while a half slab is priced at $14.99.

There are many other house favorites to choose from like: chicken Kiev, pork chops, steaks and tilapia. Their sandwich board includes: reubens, French dips, grilled chicken, clubs, bratwurst, catfish and more. Every Friday they offer an all you can eat fish fry and on Saturdays, prime rib is the special. Sundays, with each regular adult entrée purchased, one kid eats for free! For dessert you must try the scrumptious eight layer chocolate cake for $7.00. This decadent mound of rich chocolate can feed at least two to four people, so be ready to share.
