The NBA's 2009 Bottom Feeders

After watching my beloved Minnesota Timberwolves win their first game of the 2009 NBA season against the New Jersey Nets and then drop the next 12 games. I was thinking who are the 5 worst teams in the NBA right now. I came up with a list so here we go in order of the worst to the practically already forgotten:

5. Memphis Grizzlies (4-9)
I would have thought at the beginning of the season they were not going to be this bad. After all they had Allen Iverson on the roster, even if he only played in three games coming off the bench before leaving for personal reasons and then flat out quitting after that. The Grizzlies also have second year phenom O.J Mayo whom the Timberwolves traded away for Power Dud Kevin Love. O. J Mayo is the Grizzlies 3rd leading scorer at 17.2 pts/game behind Rudy Gay (21.8pts/game) and Zach Randolph (18.4pts/game). I am still scratching my head why they are 4-9 and why the Timberwolves traded Mayo during the 2008 NBA Draft day.

4. Washington Wizards (3-9)
This team confuses me, they have some big names on the roster, had the greatest player to ever play the game period in Micheal Jordon play for them for a couple months and now even today they are still bad sitting last in the Southeast Standings. Gilbert Arenas otherwise known as "Agent Zero" was hurt all last year and now back healthy this year along with small forward Caron Butler and center Brendan Haywood, who I thought would be NBA good being 7ft and all instead of just a college great.

3. New York Knicks (3-10)
The Knicks have not been good this entire decade. They haven't posted a .500 record that entire time, which seems surprising considering the Big Time market they play in and the prestige the surrounds Madison Square Garden. As I look at their starting line-up of Duhon, Hughes, Gallinari, Chandler, and Lee, I have to think that is the problem when their backups Robinson, Douglas, Jeffries, Harrington, and Milicic are probably better. Maybe it is coaching considering Big Tiny Nate Robinson after all did shoot at the wrong basket the other night!!! HAHA!!! Sorry Knick Fans!
