Grease: You're the One That I Want is a great television show. The show starts out with bunches and bunches of people singing and dancing. The producers of a the Broadway version of Grease are trying to find one Sandy and one Danny to star on the stage for them. For the first time in television history the audience gets to choose who that Sandy and that Danny will be. There are judges but the phone calls from the audience is the final determining factor for the show and for who goes to Broadway.

Grease: You're the One That I Want starts out like many of the other reality television shows. Contestants from all over compete with one another to get a chance at star status and fame. It is their hope to make it big on Broadway and be under the hot lights. There are many contestants from many cities. I'm still not sure how they all find out where they need to go to audition.

For the show Grease: You're the One That I Want, there has to be a Sandy and a Danny. I just thought that they'd automatically rule out people that did not look like the original Olivia Newton John or John Travolta. But I was surprised. They let a lot of these rather unusual people in. At this point in the show Grease: You're the One That I Want only the judges make the cuts and the keeps.

Once the girls and guys are picked out they go through a number of songs and dances. Will they make it to the next day? Finally it comes down to the judges selecting 12 girls and 12 guys that will get to go to Grease Academy. At the academy they will hone their acting, dancing and singing skills. Getting to go to the Academy is a great honor and true success.

Then Grease: You're the One That I Want steps up the show. The girls and guys are asked to perform live on stage in front of an audience for scenes and numbers they have prepared for. In the beginning there is a girls' night and boys' night. Each episode someone gets cut. These cuts are made from votes cast by the audience. The judges have the opportunity to save one person. Who will it be? That is something that is always a surprise on the show and shocker. You just never know who the judges will pick.

My roommate was fanatical about the show. I enjoyed it and think the winners were good picks.
