This is a quote from a text book called "Sociology a Down-to-Earth Approach" Seventh Edition written by James M. Henslin;

"Agent Provocateurs are a unique type of participant in social movements. These are agents of the government or even of the opposing sides of a social movement whose job it is to spy on the leadership and perhaps to sabotage it's activities. Some are recruited from the membership itself, people who are willing to betray their friends in the organization for a few Judas dollars. Others are police or members of a rival group who go underground and join the movement...What also may be surprising is how far some agents go. During the 1960's, when a wave of militant social movements rolled across the United States, the FBI recruited agent provocateurs to sabotage groups. These agents provoked illegal activities that otherwise would not have occurred: They set the leadership up for arrest and, in some instances, set them up for death. Two examples...In a plot by a group called the Black Liberation Front to blow up the Statue of Liberty, one of the four men involved was an undercover agent. It was he who drew up the plans and even provided funds to pay for the dynamite and rent the car. In another instance, the FBI paid $36,500 to two members of the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan to arrange for the Klan to bomb a Jewish businessman's home. A trap was set in which one Klansman was killed and another was arrested in the unsuccessful attempt." (Sociology a Down-to-Earth Approach)

Now these tactics are used by the Government to thwart social movements, or to spread an atmosphere of fear amongst the populist in order to maintain the power structure for the "Power Elite."

Let's look at the Dix Six and how they fit into this scenario:

Did You Know?
And those actions have raised questions about whether the government crossed the line and pushed the six men down a path they would not have otherwise followed.

Hello! You put your foot in it on this one. This is great. I know you will not agree with me, but I believe the terrorists arrests in Miami was similar and for the same reasons you site. Paid snitches - some have made millions - are the same thing. Check out my novel, SnitchCraft, although it's fiction, it sheds light on the corrupt environment created by paying informants.

If you ask me, Government leaders are half the problem for the whole world..and they make things worse than they are, but what gets me they can get away with it...just not right no way you slice it!

Excellent article, Deez. People refuse to listen to the truth of it all, but this kind of crap (and worse) has been going on for quite awhile, and the Bush Admin is adept at it.
