Early Chase Predictions

NASCAR 2010

1. Denny Hamlin

Toyota will score their first major championship when Hamlin hoists the cup after the 2010 Homestead race. Don't underestimate his maturity and intelligence because of what happened with Keselowski. Keselowski had it coming to him and it just shows how determined Hamlin is to have his name listed among the best.

2. Kyle Busch

Busch will come in a close second but two DNF's will hurt him badly during the Chase. Despite the fact that his teamate will win it all Busch will be seen sulking even though he won his second Nationwide Championship the day before.

3. Carl Edwards

Edwards will get back to his winning ways by winning four races in the 2010 season. Edwards will finish a quit third while slowly building a foundation for a future championship.

4. Juan Pablo Montoya

I love listening to Montoya on the radio. Montoya will prove that he is the real deal.

5. Jimmie Johnson

Johnson's run of championships will end halfway through the Chase due to a lack of motivation and back luck. How can anybody seriously stay focused after winning four championships.

6. Jeff Gordon

Normally finishing right behind Johnson is not at all bad and while 6th is no joke Gordon will be strongly considering his options as the owner of a team (see Tony Stewart).

7. Tony Stewart

Stewart will be the only member of his team making the Chase next year. It was incredible that both Stewart and Newman made the Chase but that will not be the case next year.

8. Kevin Harvick

Harvick's success in the Truck series will translate over to the Sprint Cup in 2010.

9. Kasey Kahne

Despite finishing 9th Kahne will still win the award for being the best looking.

10. Mark Martin

2010 will be a major let down for Martin. His success in 2010 will determine his role in 2011. On the plus side Dan Marino never won a championship

11. Jeff Burton

Richard Childress re-enters the picture in a big way in 2010. The momentum from 2009 will carry over to a Chase birth.

12. Matt Kenseth

Kenseth will not get back to back wins but he will be a lot more consistent in 2010.
