It is obvious with the lack of content I have produced lately that my zest for writing has diminished since the NCAA Tournament. Working 80-85 hours per week along with the recent move-in with the wife has significantly limited the time I have available for creating content for AC. I have become flattered more and more by the recent flood of content ideas coming from writers on AC as it seems that many of you miss my updates. Therefore I am going to give this a shot. Perhaps twice or three times a week I will write an article in which I give my opinions on a myriad of subjects (mostly related to sports) and pick some topics which you have suggested. Hopefully, as times goes on, I'll even be able to answer some comments/emails that you send my way. Without further ado, it's time to start the first edition of Zac's Blog.

I can say truthfully that I predicted the Milwaukee Brewers to win the NL Central Division this season. Their recent success should not be a huge surprise to any baseball fan. J.J. Hardy and Price Fielder are two phenomenal young talents and their pitching staff isn't too bad either with the likes of Jeff Suppan and Chris Capuano (who?). The real reason I picked the Brewers at the beginning of the year had absolutely nothing to do with my faith in their ability to win 100 games, though. The NL Central is quite possibly the weakest division in baseball. The St. Louis Cardinals are a broken down shell of last year's championship team. The Cubs were arguably the most overrated team coming into the season. The Reds and Astros are nothing special, and the Pirates are...the Pirates. Even if Milwaukee does eventually slow down don't expect any other team in the division to go on a major winning streak anytime soon.

The blog is a great idea, and I am glad you aren't working 80 hours a week.

Zac, thanks so much for your comments on the Eagles' draft. Hey, I'm stuck down here in southern New Jersey - we're stuck with the Eagles - but being a Maryland girl with Florida instincts, I'm a huge fan of both the Ravens and Jacksonville. I LOVE the fact that you've started a blog - great work!

I'm sports illiterate so no comment there...BUT Rosie should never get another job anywhere as she has already made way too much money for a gal who is all mouth and no talent. As for Drew, I think she is a beautiful person but she doesn't always keep her clothes on... she flashed David Letterman. Great work! Blog on!

Yeah yeah... when ya get to Hockey, we'll talk. I agree on Barrymore. I adore that gal.

I absolutely agree that Smackdown should be live, this drives me crazy. I also share the Rosie sentiment. Peyton more overrated than Brady?

I like the idea of doing a blog on AC. I've started one several places but can never get anyone to read it. So it would make sense to just do it on AC since I actually have readers here. As for the Brewers. I did not pick them to win the Central. I know they have a ton of young talent and it was just a matter of them getting it together, but that's what people have been saying for three or four years now so I wasn't buying it until it happened. Actually I don't think any of my division predictions are currently correct. My two best predictions are probably saying all along the Mets had no worries with their starting pitching and predicting that Barry Bonds and Tim Hudson would have great bounce back years. Of course I also said Brad Lidge would...
