Adam Lambert's AMA video-YouTube performance has become an instant success. The Adam Lambert AMA video and subsequent YouTube debut has divided the entertainment industry, and those that missed the performance feel the need to see the AMA video on YouTube. What was so controversial about Lambert's performance? He kissed a man, drug a shackled woman across the stage, had backup dancers wearing bondage, and grabbed another man's head and shoved it in his crotch. Although the AMA performance was shocking, as you watch the Adam Lambert AMA video on YouTube, you may realize that Lambert's performance is no more controversial than the 2003 VMA smooch between Britney and Madonna or the Janet Jackson Super Bowl wardrobe mishap.

What does the artist say about the AMA video? He isn't apologizing. Why not? He doesn't think he did anything wrong. Adam Lambert expressed disappointment about how the entertainment industry treated his performance, citing that women have been pushing the envelope for decades. Now that a man is starting to push the envelope, it's a controversy.

I watched the AMA Video YouTube and I can see how people would consider the performance shocking or controversial. I can also see how parents wouldn't want their children under 14 or 15 to see the video or performance. Although Lambert told CNN that the kiss and pseudo sex-act was "in the moment", everything looked well choreographed to me. I am a bit skeptical of the claims that all that were done impromptu, although I have no real choice but to believe Lambert that these were not pre-planned acts.

Lambert contends that the only thing he would have done differently if he had the chance was to sing better. He's not apologizing for his performance, which shows that he at least has the guts to stand up for what he believes is right. The way I look at it, his AMA performance was a big success. He likely gained as many - if not more - fans than he lost. He made his mark on the music industry, which is no easy feat.
