Casey Anthony Case: Defense Says Roy Kronk Killed Caylee Anthony

Attempting to Implicate Roy Kronk to Insinuate Reasonable Doubt into the Murder Case

The Casey Anthony case has revealed more of its defense strategy. Unlike the "she was in jail" ploy, this defense is one that this writer predicted quite some time ago, right after Roy Kronk found the remains of little Caylee Anthony not too far from her grandparents' house in Orlando. It seems that Roy Kronk's discovery of Caylee Anthony's remains has become problematic for the prosecution and the defense will try to discredit him in order to exonerate Casey Anthony. Even the most casual observer could see back in December (when Roy Kronk made the 911 call that alerted authorities to the wooded lot where they found Caylee Anthony's remains) that on this Orange County utility worker would hinge a reasonable doubt defense for Casey Anthony. And that was before anything was truly known about Roy Kronk.

And it is exactly that by which Andrea Lyon and Casey Anthony's defense team will hang their argument. They are contending that the Orange County Sheriff's Office and prosecutors involved in the Casey Anthony case have been so quick to rush to judgment and get a conviction against Casey Anthony for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, that they failed to consider others who may have kidnapped and/or killed Caylee Anthony.

Others -- like Roy Kronk.

Controversy erupted almost immediately after Roy Kronk found Caylee Anthony's remains in the wooded lot near George and Cindy Anthony's home. It was soon learned that this was not the first time Roy Kronk had called in a suspicious sighting. It was the third time.

Scrutiny was then focused on the Orange County Sheriff's Office and how finding the remains and having them processed in August would have been far better than discovering the remains in December, six months after Caylee Anthony disappeared and five months after Casey Anthony finally revealed to her mother (and the police) that Caylee was missing.
