10 Celebrity Breast Cancer Survivors: In Honor of Olivia Newton-John's 'Kaleidoscope'

November 2009 has been a controversial month for breast cancer survivors, due to the great debate over when to start and how often to have mammograms. But for one of the many specials on this Thanksgiving, celebrities will come together to celebrate breast cancer survivors and to raise awareness of the disease and to inspire women to get out and get checked for it in a star-studded holiday event. Olivia Newton-John's Thanksgiving special 'Kaleidoscope' will feature plenty of celebrities trying to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer, but there are already a lot of celebrities out there who are breast cancer survivors trying to inspire other breast cancer survivors out there to not give up the fight. Here's a look at some celebrity breast cancer survivors fighting to find a cure:

Olivia Newton-John - And here's the celebrity behind the 'Kaleidoscope' star-studded event. We all fell in love with Olivia Newton-John in 'Grease', and this sweet celebrity has gone on to become a very powerful activist for animals and environmental rights. But in the Thanksgiving special 'Kaleidoscope', she's going to be trying to raise awareness for breast cancer, a disease that more and more celebrities and other women are battling. She was diagnosed with the disease in 1992, and since she's recovered, she's been doing all she can to help other breast cancer survivors by donating part of the proceeds from her albums to breast cancer research, organizing a walk along the Great Wall of China, and even raising money to build a cancer and wellness center in Australia. Olivia Newton-John is definitely an advocate of early detection, so 'Kaleidoscope' couldn't have come at a more controversial time, but hopefully it will at least help inspire other breast cancer survivors and those currently battling the disease.
