Over the past few years, we have seen an increase in the number of television shows that are being pulled from the air, many right in the middle of the season. If you are like me and many other television viewers, this may have upset you in more ways than one. There is nothing worse that being left hanging; wondering what would have or could have happened next. While we all have our own favorite television shows that we try and tune into each night of the week, there are a number of shows that were popular and were still pulled from the air. While the ratings may not have been great, many of these shows had a passionate fan following. Just a few of those shows are briefly outlined below.
ABC's In Justice
In Justice aired on ABC in 2006. The show focused on the "National Justice Project." Instead of being like most crime and drama shows today, In Justice didn't really focus on catching the criminals, but rather releasing those who were wrongly convicted. In Justice had a great cast, right down to the guest stars. Each character and episode was strong enough where it could leave you in tears. Unfortunately, In Justice aired on Friday nights, which has been known to bring many popular television shows down to their knees.
With In Justice, it just literally seemed like it dropped off the face of the earth and never returned.
ABC's Invasion
Invasion aired on ABC from 2005 to 2006. Invasion focused on the aftermath of a hurricane, which included the existence of supernatural life. Although Invasion seemed a little bit far fetched not long into the season, it was something that drew in a passionate fan base. After all, at the time there wasn't much on network television like Invasion.
Invasion aired on ABC on Wednesdays, right after the popular hit Lost. Unfortunately, ABC toyed around with the schedule and new episodes of Lost and Invasion didn't always air at the same time. This may have attributed to the show's downfall. While ABC did allow the first season of Invasion to finish airing, it left viewers with more questions than answers.
