V1. The Muny
The Muny is the largest outdoor theater in the United States, and it's right here in St. Louis! The Muny has a different line up of shows each season, but past shows have included Cinderella, Jesus Christ Superstar, Annie, Oklahoma, and Grease. The Muny holds seven shows each summer season, and each show runs on a variety of nights including weeknights. There are 1,500 free seats available at every show held at the Muny- and it's a great free way to spend a relaxing summer evening.

2. The Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Gardens offer a spectacular backdrop for a summer stroll with their many exotic plants and flowers. The Japanese Garden at the Botanical Gardens is one of the largest Japanese gardens in the United States. The Botanical Gardens usually charges an admission fee, but it's free on Wednesdays and Saturdays before noon if you live in St. Louis City or County.

3. Grant's Farm
Grant's Farm is full of animals and fun activities for kids and adults alike. There are also many Civil War demonstrations held at Grant's Farm, so it's a perfect learning experience as well. Admission to Grant's Farm is free, but there is a nominal parking fee of $8.

4. Free Movie Night
Who doesn't like a good old outdoor movie to bring back fond memories of drive in theaters? Luckily you can still enjoy an outdoor movie on Friday nights starting at 8 PM in New Town St. Charles. The best thing about the movie night is- it's free! Free movie night is a great activity for the whole family as all the movies shown are for children.

5. Museums
Anyone who lives in St. Louis knows that it gets pretty hot here during the summer, so why not cool down in one of the many museums? Both the Art Museum and the History Museum are free of charge, and are great educational activities. The St. Louis Science Center isn't half museum and half fun activities for kids, and it's free of charge as well!

6. Brewery Tours
Fun for the adults only are tours of two St. Louis breweries: Anheuser-Busch and Shlafly. Although both tours are worth paying for, they are offered for free and even include samples!
