Since I have a three-year old, I am very familiar with diapers! Three and a half years ago, when we were given baby showers, we received many different brands of diapers. I thought that was great, since it gave me a chance to decide which brand of diapers I liked best. I soon found out that Huggies and Pampers both are fantastic in many ways. The main difference I found between Huggies and Pampers was the shape. Since all babies are shaped differently, a mom needs to consider which diaper brand fits her baby's bottom best. For me, that meant Huggies. I know several people who find Pampers the best for their baby.

Since I am still using Huggies, I will tell you all the wonderful things I like about that brand. Huggies fits my baby well and does not leak. The best feature about Huggies is that their diapers hold a LOT of water. We found out just how much water a Huggies diaper can hold in a comical way. Last summer, we had our kiddie pool out for our then 2-year old boy to play in. I forgot to change him into a "swim diaper." He splashed around in the water for quite a while. His Huggies diaper kept absorbing for at least 30 minutes. The diaper grew and grew. It actually expanded to four times its normal size before it finally burst. My husband and I both got a big kick out of this. It proved a point though: this diaper has a phenomenal water retention ability. Another wonderful feature from Huggies, is that they have developed a diaper that keeps water away from baby's bottom. This is very important. Any mom who has had to deal with diaper rash, should be thankful for this! Diaper rash is that painful condition that causes baby to scream anytime you bring a diaper wipe within three inches of baby's skin. Most, if not all, babies get diaper rash at some point in their lives. However, I tried to prevent the rash as much as possible. Huggies has provided a valuable tool that helped me accomplish this.
