Impressions of the Barcelo Premium Mayan Beach Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico

If you are planning a trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico you should consider the Barcelo Beach Resort Hotel. It is an all inclusive hotel located about 50 feet from the beach. I was impressed by everything the hotel had to offer us.

Upon arriving we went to the front desk to check in. We told him our names and as he was looking it up on the computer he asked us if we wanted a beer or a margarita as we were checking in! I looked at my husband and smiled. That is the first time we were ever asked if we wanted a drink as we were checking in at a hotel. We said sure we'll take 2 coronas. So he got on the phone and called the bar and 2 minutes later, we were enjoying a nice cold beer as we were being told about what our hotel all had to offer us.

After getting our room key, we went to the room and the bell boy brought our bags to our room. We had a gorgeous room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful hotel's gardens and swimming pools. Also on the dresser was a basket of fresh fruit with a welcome card on it. The mini fridge was stocked with water and beer with a note that had a number to call if you needed it refilled.

Once we got the room situated we started to explore the area. The hotel grounds was huge! It seemed like it went on forever. But they were filled with gorgeous flowers, fountains, swimming pools, and trees. We found the first restaurant La Mesa Del Captain. They served food from 10:30 am - 6:30 pm. They had items like pizza, tacos, seafood, fruit, salads, pastas, and so much more. Ready for you to walk in and grab a plate whenever you felt like it during those hours. They also had wine, beer, and of course tequila available to drink. Along with bottled water and soda too
