Spring is here and upon its heals comes thoughts of weddings and bridal showers. Gag gifts are always fun, but why not splurge on a perfume gift set instead? Face it, every female likes to have pampering products to relax in the tub with and feel beautiful. Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue perfume gift set is perfect.

I have collected a ton of perfumes over the last 2 years... and yet I keep buying more. I like the looks of the bottles sitting on my dresser, aiiight? Seriously. Most of my perfume purchases have been because I liked the look of the bottles. When on a recent ferry voyage, I found this Light Blue perfume gift set by Dolce & Gabbana in the duty free shop and had to have it. I didn't even bother to smell it before shelling out the 60-some odd Euros. It turned out to be a pretty good purchase.

This perfume gift set came in a lovely blue box, which I sadly did not keep. In the box was: 1.7 oz Eau De Toilette Spray + 1.7 oz Body Gel + 1.7 oz Shower Gel.

The bottle is a cool iced glass topped by a beautiful light blue cap, with a mirrored silver band in between the two. the name Dolce & Gabbana is prominently displayed across the face of the bottle. niiiiice.

The first thing I did was try the perfume spray. I was surprised to find that I liked the scent. Dolce & Gabbana says the scent is: "A blend of flowers and fruity notes: apple, bluebells, jasmine, bamboo and white rose. With subtle hints of cedarwood, amber and musk."

Consumers are visual. The packaging makes a HUGE difference in many of our purchases :)

Great article. Thanks for the lesson on perfumes. My collection is very limited. So it is nice to hear what others think about many different brands, if and when I decide to add to my collection.

You choose perfume the way I choose wine. And it may not be the most intellectual process but I swear it works.

You have opened a new vista for me with respect to gifts. Excepting only the most expensive, I have never trusted my judgment in what to buy. I shall now use yours.
