Mom's Day - Celebrating Good Food at L & D Chinese Buffet

Mom's Day would not be celebrated, but for the off springs that make the day possible. I wanted a place that had a relaxed atmosphere, no dress code and every type of taste, flavor and spice available. i wanted a place that my 18 year old son and his friend could walk in, eat until they were stuffed and enjoy the day designated as my day. The perfect place for us was L & D Chinese Buffet located at 1605 11th Avenue in Helena, Montana.

L&D Chinese Buffet has all the food we like and it is a buffet style restaurant. The staff is very pleasant and allows all its customers to enjoy their meal choices. Occasionally a staff member will drop by and make sure you have enough water or clear plates, but all of the service is tastefully done.

The favorite food selections were stuffed pin wheels, creamed pineapple, crab legs, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed crab and shrimp balls, and chicken and beef combinations. My favorite was the egg flower soup that is totally awesome. Some egg flower soups can be bland, but L&D Chinese Buffet adds some zest and peas and carrots to the mix.

My son likes the combination beef and varied types of green beans with mushrooms and sauce. His friend liked a variety of mandarin oranges, creamed pineapple and other main entree selections. It was all good. The conversation was light and airy just like the stuffed pin wheels. The stuffed dumplings were excellent and the sauce was excellent.

The salads were varied and the dressings for the salad was unique and tasty. The entire buffet area is exquisite in appearance and clean. The staff periodically checks the iced areas and hot menu items to ensure the food is being maintained at the correct temperature. The area is cared for as you would do for your family to ensure healthy standards.
