If you work in an office setting day in and day out, you know just how complicated and disorganized your life can get. Luckily, there are ways that you can put the pieces back together. One of the most overlooked things that you can do is use sticky notes in order to keep you on track. In today's day and age of computer technology many people forget about how useful sticky notes can be.

Here are three ways that you can use sticky notes in your office.

1. Use sticky notes for taking messages. Instead of writing on an old piece of paper, or a napkin for that matter, you should instead have a stack of sticky notes for this exact reason. This sure beats wiping your mouth with the number of an important business contact!

2. Sticky notes are a great way to keep track of your thoughts during the day. Chances are that you have experienced the following scenario: You are working on a project, and then a great idea pops into your mind. And instead of writing it down, you think that you will remember it later on. Of course, you end up forgetting and your great idea is no longer. If you have sticky notes on hand you will be able to take quick notes throughout the course of the day.

3. Do you do a lot of interoffice communicating? If so, adding sticky notes to a report or envelope is a great way to communicate a quick note. This sure beats having to take time to send an email, or worse yet, ruining the actual report or envelope with ink marks.

If you are thinking about implementing sticky notes into your routine, you should know that they are cheap to buy. In fact, you should be able to purchase a large pack of "sticky note pads" for a few bucks. And in most cases, you may even be able to get these from your employer.

As you can imagine, you can find sticky notes in a wide variety of sizes and colors. The most popular size is 3" x 3", but with that being said there are many options to choose from. Select the ones that are best for your office setting, and of course, the way that you will be using them.
