If you are looking for the ultimate in portable and stylish photography, than you are probably thinking about the Canon PowerShot 7.1-MegaPixel Digital ELPH Camera, Model: SD1000. This little camera packs a huge punch! There are so many great features that come right along with this camera, that it is unbelievable it has an average price tag of only $249.99. With that price, everyone can afford this great piece of technology. But what makes this digital camera so special? Because in this market, there are literally thousands of digital cameras that all have great features, so what exactly makes this camera stand out on a crowded shelf? Well, the first thing that I like to point out about this particular camera, is the MegaPixels. Usually, a camera of this price range will have about 4 to 6 MegaPixels, maybe. However, this Canon PowerShot has a total of 7.1-MP that is captured with a high-resolution CCD, that comes with 3072 x 2304 pixel capabilities. This camera was made to create breathtaking photographs, and that is exactly what it is going to do. There is a total of 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and a total zoom of 12x's, all of which is sifted through a UA lens. You will be able to see your pictures immediately with the 2.5" PureColor TFT-LCD monitor, that comes fully equipped with an antireflective, scratch-resistant coating.
But how do the picture end up so brilliant? This is wholly do to the fact that this digital camera uses Canon's DIGIC III image processor, which gives you greatly improved image quality, as well as auto exposure, brilliantly clear auto focus, lightening fast processing speeds and automatic white balancing. This littler image engine can pump out some of the best pictures you have ever seen, and the coolest thing is, it's done all automatically, all you have to do is point and shoot.
